Job Description This role requires a dynamic individual who thrives on building relationships and expanding networks across the organization and with key suppliers. Candidates must bring a strategic mindset, seeing beyond immediate tasks to understand the broader business objectives and how procurement can drive enterprise value.
This is a high-visibility position with direct interaction with senior leadership. Must feel comfortable pitching presentations to executive-level audiences. The role demands adaptability and confidence in navigating ambiguity while maintaining focus on long-term goals.
Responsibilities
- Organize and support executive-level meetings and joint strategy sessions with vendors, including scheduling, preparing materials, documenting outcomes, and following up on action items, while promoting a strategic, enterprise-wide mindset during vendor onboarding and discussions.
- Build and maintain repeatable frameworks to measure revenue generation and risk mitigation.
- Maintain accurate records of commitments, decisions, and follow-ups, and consolidate vendor spend and performance data into clear reports that support strategic decision-making.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of supply chain and strategic sourcing best practices while managing multiple priorities and supporting new initiatives and evolving business needs.
- Help develop and deliver training programs for internal stakeholders, promoting a ‘big picture’ mindset to reinforce strategic procurement practices.
- Demonstrates a forward-thinking mindset with a strong comfort level in leveraging technology and Microsoft tools to enhance efficiency. Actively seeks opportunities to automate processes, standardize workflows, and implement best practices. Collaborates across teams to identify and drive innovative solutions that improve scalability, reduce manual effort, and deliver measurable impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management (SCMP), or related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 7 years of Procurement and Project Management
- Professional certification such as CPSM, CPM, CTPE or Six Sigma (Yellow/Green/Black Belt) or Project Management certification (CAPM/PMP)
- Proficient in Word, Excel (analysis, pivot tables), and preparing advanced level presentations
- Thrives in fast-changing, ambiguous environments.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and focused on continuous improvement.
- Experience in strategic sourcing, vendor management, or business development
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation abilities
- Understands procurement and competitive bidding laws
- Working knowledge of Shibumi
