Job Description
CS Group Canada offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing organization operating at the forefront of aerospace, defense, and advanced technologies. As part of our expansion, we are looking at fulfilling a senior Business Development role to lead the go-to-market strategy, business development, and strategic positioning of our innovative Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) solution across Canada. This role is both strategic and hands-on, ideal for someone who wants to build and expand a new market while engaging with high-level stakeholders in defense, security, and government ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
Go-to-Market & Product Strategy Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for CS Group - Canada Counter-UAS offering Contribute to product positioning, value proposition, and competitive differentiation Track relevant market data, intelligence, and trends. Capture customer needs and analyze competitive landscape to refine strategy. Support pricing strategy and commercial models (direct sales, partnerships, integrators) Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Development Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships (OEMs, primes, system integrators, government stakeholders) Build alliances to accelerate market access and product adoption Represent CS Group – Canada in key defense and security ecosystems (Canada, NATO partners) Customer Engagement & Thought Leadership Establish and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers Act as a subject-matter ambassador for CS Group - Canada C-UAS capabilities Represent the company at industry events, trade shows (e.g., CANSEC, DEFSEC), and strategic forums Sales Execution Lead end-to-end sales & business development activities including prospecting, pipeline generation, client engagement, proposal development, and contract negotiation Identify and secure new business opportunities across defense, homeland security, critical infrastructure, and government agencies Develop and manage a robust sales funnel aligned with revenue targets Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM tools and track sales KPIs. Meet business growth targets set forth by the company.
Internal Collaboration
Work closely with engineering, product, and program teams to align customer needs with solution development Support bid/no-bid decisions and contribute to winning proposals and RFP responses Ensure alignment between business strategy and technical roadmap Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field 5–10 years of experience in Business Development Proven experience in selling complex systems or solutions in hi-techs industries Demonstrated experience in building and executing go-to-market strategies Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities Experience working with CRM tools and digital sales platforms Fluency in English and French (mandatory) Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience in Counter-UAS, radar, sensors, or electronic warfare Business developing/selling experience in security, or defense, or aerospace, or mission-critical technologies. Existing network within defense, public safety, or critical infrastructure sectors Experience working with primes (e.g., Airbus, Thales, RTX, etc.) or government agencies Familiarity with export control and regulatory environments (ITAR, CGP, etc.)
