About the role
Reporting to the Manager, Digital Strategy and Analytics, the Analyst, Digital Product and Customer Analytics is responsible for the digital data handling and management for Canadian Tire Corporation digital properties, overseeing and building out new digital reporting designs (KPIs, data, format, channels, processes, etc.), and conducting in-depth analysis to support the Senior Executive team and digital teams across the organization. The position is fundamental in supporting the execution of digital strategy across the enterprise, as well as assisting in building the omni-channel view of the customer.
What You’ll Do
- Digital data handling and management for main digital properties including Canadian Tire, SportChek, and Marks sites
- Query, extract and transform raw data from multiple data warehouses to conduct key insight and in-depth analysis of customer, website and digital products
- Oversee dashboards for digital product and customer insights teams to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Approach problems with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Work on ad-hoc projects that leverage multiple sources of data such as inventory, cost, web analytics, loyalty amongst several other data sources
- Work with IT and business stakeholders to influence decision making with data
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience: degrees in disciplines such as Engineering, Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science are preferred
- 3-5 years experience working with large datasets in an analytical role
- Strong knowledge of SQL to perform complex data analysis is necessary, additional experience with Python or another language to transform and process data is preferrable
- Experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or Quantum Metric is preferred
- Working knowledge in GCP Data technologies (Google Cloud, Big Query), experience with other cloud databases such as Snowflake is a plus
- Experience with data intelligence/visualisation platforms such as Power BI, Looker, Google Datastudio, Tableau or other similar tools is a plus
- The ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organization in a professional and competent manner
