About the role

Who we are

At Ecosystem we believe we should be accountable for results. That’s why we've integrated engineering and construction, seeing our projects through from design concept to implementation and commissioning. And that's how we can efficiently solve complex energy and decarbonization challenges in the built environment. Here are some of the projects we've been working on recently in the region: Georgetown University, Battery Park City, The Museum of Art & Design. Who you are

You are a skilled and persuasive writer and editor, adept at presenting complex information in a clear and convincing manner. A strategic thinker, you balance creativity and organization to create engaging and informative content. You thrive as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to excellence, collaborating and communicating with colleagues across functions and across the continent. What you'll do

We are looking to add a Proposal Specialist to our expanding client acquisition team. Central to the role is developing written and visual content for client acquisition, from new business pitches to RFP (Request for Proposal) responses and detailed engineering studies. You’ll help us articulate our value proposition in our distinctive voice to prospective, new, and existing clients: leaders in education, healthcare, and industry who are as committed to modernizing energy systems as we are. You will collaborate with teams in the US and Canada, focusing on Quebec and Ontario and supporting the US, reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications.

Specific responsibilities

Contribute with your colleagues across the entire business development cycle, from early-stage presentations and studies to RFSQs/RFPs and business proposals. Participate in proposal strategy sessions to determine the proposal response approach and concept by identifying and clarifying requirements, opportunities, and needs. Coordinate and communicate proposal development activities among internal team members and external partners. Meet deadlines by prioritizing schedules for information gathering, writing, editing, design, reviews, and approvals; coordinate contributor requirements and provide proposal status updates at review meetings. Edit for quality, clarity, and impact, working with graphic designers and illustrators to maximize visual communication. Bring editorial and organizational best practices applicable to our context, create an accessible and user-friendly environment, maintain content and information libraries, coach and train colleagues. Maintain quality standards for readability, consistency, accuracy, and tone. Improve results by evaluating and redesigning processes, approach, coordination, and templates; implement changes.
