The Project Management Advisor would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity. In this role, you will provide strategic advice and hands-on project management support to program managers and project leaders. You will help ensure that projects are delivered efficiently and successfully — on time, on budget, and in alignment with stakeholder expectations and organizational goals. Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional advice and technical support to implement and maintain efficient project management practices; Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, milestones, and resource allocations; Analyze project plans, costs, and timelines; prepare progress reports and performance analyses; Support Lab Directors and Sponsors in achieving business goals through data-driven insights and recommendations; Gather and interpret data from multiple sources to develop integrated business analyses and projections; Facilitate collaboration and partnerships among stakeholders; Contribute to program development, execution, and coordination across the Aerospace Research Centre. Screening criteria Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates: Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science or Business Administration or Finance. Graduation in business administration or finance or a program specializing in project management could be considered an asset. Formal designation as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is considered an asset. For information on certificates and diplomas issued abroad, please see Degree equivalencyExperience Significant and recent experience leading and enabling the successful delivery of projects across diverse domains, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives; Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing complex, multi-stakeholder environments, including internal clients, external partners, and industry collaborators; Significant and recent experience in project financial management, including cost estimation, budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis throughout the project lifecycle; Demonstrated experience proactively identifying, assessing, and managing project risks, issues, and interdependencies, and implementing effective mitigation and contingency strategies; Recent experience using project management tools and systems to plan, track, analyze, and report on project performance in complex environments; and Experience providing strategic project management advice and guidance to senior leaders and project sponsors to support informed decision-making and optimize project outcomes. Candidates are remunerated based on their expertise, outcomes and impacts of their previous work experience relative to the requirements of the level. The salary scale for this group is vast, from $64,739 to $183,010 per annum, which permits for employees of all levels from new graduates to world renowned experts to be fairly compensated for their contributions. NOTE: Please note that the full RO/RCO salary scale has five levels. Salary determination will be based on a review of the candidate’s expertise, outcomes and impacts of their previous work experience relative to the requirements of the level. As such, the initial salary could be within another level of the RO/RCO salary scale (i.e. above or below the intended level for this position). In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
