About the role

Summary of Duties:

This Senior MLT candidate must be able to analyze complex technical issues in a systematic and comprehensive manner. Expected to communicate effectively - verbally and in writing. Works collaboratively with medical leadership, management, and peers to improve services and quality. Able to evaluate and implement technological enhancements using LEAN principles/process improvement tools and has a comprehensive understanding of a quality management system

Qualifications/Skills:

  • CMLTO registration as a General Medical Laboratory Technologist required
  • Minimum 3 years comprehensive experience in Histology required
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills in order to trouble-shoot and optimize testing required
  • Working knowledge of LEAN principles and tools for process improvement
  • Able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, as well as independently
  • Demonstrates effective communication, both written and oral
  • Required to work in a dynamic, busy environment with excellent organizational skills
  • Experience with lab information systems, including CoPath, Vantage, Synapse Pathology
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office
