About the role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and a willingness to learn within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
The day to day:
- Apply clients payments accurately and perform regular account reconciliations
- Manage billing activities, including preparing and issuing invoices
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with clients while addressing billing or account-related inquiries
- Oversee corporate credit card reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submission of staff expenses
- Create work orders and jobs for costing purposes within our accounting or ERP system
- Assist in gathering and organizing documentation required for the year-end audit
- Support month-end close activities and collaborate with the Finance team on various accounting tasks as needed to ensure smooth departmental operations
What You Bring
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting-related administrative role
- Experience with accounting or ERP software is an asset
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data manipulation)
- Exceptional attention to detail paired with strong accuracy in data entry and financial review
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
- Clear and professional communication with the ability to maintain positive client relationships
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn new systems and processes
EducationExperience
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business administration is an asset.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position based in Vancouver with potential for hybrid work after probation
- Occasional overtime during month-end, quarter-end, or year-end cycles
