IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THIS POSITION:
This new position is part of the new Housing First ACT Team with Homeless and Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART) Hub Niagara.
This position will be working with individuals faced with homelessness, substance misuse, and mental health concerns.
The location for this position is yet to be determined but will be within the Niagara Region and will require travel throughout the entire area.

Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
As a member of multidisciplinary team, the Behavioural Analyst is responsible to provide services and supports based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to persons with severe and chronic mental health concerns. This Behavioural Analyst is a skilled professional with a deep understanding of mental health, psychological assessments, and therapeutic interventions. The Behavioural Specialist will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and implement interventions that promote behavioural and emotional well-being among individuals facing mental health challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- University degree in Psychology, Behavioural Science, or related field.
- Must be registered as a member of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in a mental health or behavioural health setting, including experience in conducting behavioural assessments, developing, and implementing therapeutic interventions, and working in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
- Knowledge and experience using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principals.
- Demonstrates knowledge and experience working with populations dealing with homelessness, addictions, substance abuse and mental illness.
SKILLS
- Ability to work with persons with histories of homelessness, addictions and mental illness and other co-occurring disorders in developing life roles, independence, and balanced lifestyle through the establishment of therapeutic and supportive professional relationships.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills (verbal and written), group presentation and facilitation skills, counseling skills and the ability to work effectively on a multidisciplinary team.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license to the class of vehicle operated.
- Computer literacy required.
- Fluency (written and spoken) in French and other languages is considered an asset.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- Must provide own transportation and be able to travel throughout the Niagara Region to other offices, work locations, or sites as authorized by the Corporation for business reasons. Employees who use their personal vehicles for approved Region business shall ensure they are adequately insured with their personal insurance carrier. It is the employee's responsibility to possess and maintain a valid driver's license of the appropriate class to carry out their job in accordance with Corporate Policy.
- Support clients in their travel to locations in the community when it is relevant to the client’s recovery plan as per program policy (which allows the option of staff transporting clients in their personal vehicle)
- Be available to work flexible hours including weekend and/or evening hours as required.
- Vaccinations as recommended in Public Health policy.
