About the role

Open Door Group (ODG), a mission-driven non-profit organization serving communities across British Columbia and Alberta, is looking for a Marketing Operations Manager to join our team!

Salary: This position has an annual salary range of $64,000.00 to $70,000.00 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Status: Full-time, temporary until March 31, 2027

Hours of Work: 36 Hours per week

Location: This position will be hybrid remote, with a primary work location of a home office and secondary work locations from our Open Door Group offices in Sechelt, Vancouver, Kamloops, Edmonton, or Calgary, depending on the successful candidate's location.

Open Door Group is looking for a collaborative and organized Marketing Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our marketing and communications function.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role leads a small team of Marketing Coordinators and serves as the central hub for marketing activity across the organization. You will help ensure marketing initiatives are well coordinated, aligned with organizational priorities, and delivered effectively across multiple programs and service areas.

This role blends team leadership, marketing coordination, and hands-on execution . You will work closely with internal teams to guide marketing initiatives that increase awareness of our programs and help connect more people to employment opportunities.

The position can be based in Sechelt, Vancouver, Kamloops, Edmonton, or Calgary , with a mix of remote and in-office work. Occasional travel and attendance at community events outside regular hours may be required.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the marketing team, providing direction, coaching, and support to Marketing Coordinators

  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and performance development for Marketing Coordinators

  • Coordinate and prioritize marketing requests across multiple programs and service areas

  • Develop and maintain marketing workflows, processes, and systems to support efficient project delivery

  • Collaborate with leadership and program teams to align marketing efforts with organizational priorities

  • Provide marketing guidance to internal stakeholders on campaigns, program promotion, and community engagement

  • Ensure marketing materials align with brand standards and meet accessibility and funder requirements

  • Review marketing deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency across channels

  • Contribute directly to marketing projects when needed, including content development, campaigns, and promotional materials

What you bring to the position:

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing or communications , with progressively increasing responsibility

  • At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience , including supporting, coaching, and guiding team members

  • Experience coordinating marketing projects or campaigns across multiple stakeholders or teams

  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, content management systems, and social media platforms

  • Experience working with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, CRM systems, or Microsoft 365 is an asset

  • Knowledge of digital accessibility and plain language practices is considered an asset

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills , with the ability to work effectively with diverse internal teams

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and support team members , creating a positive and productive team environment

  • Strong writing, editing, and content development skills across digital and print channels

  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality, accurate marketing materials

  • Ability to assess priorities and allocate resources effectively in a fast paced environment
