Resicare Society of Calgary consists of a team of professionals who are dedicated and committed to providing comprehensively integrated and high-quality support services to disabled individuals.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Support Worker to assist a male individual with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including proficiency in American Sign Language (deaf services), and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes community engagement and daily activities, including attending appointments and supporting meaningful outings. The individual values companionship and would appreciate assistance with meal preparation and cooking. Housing preferences include living on the main floor rather than a basement level. Client looking for a personal suite with bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living area.

Please note that the client has a service dog, so comfort working in a pet-friendly environment is required.

Start date: Possibly March or April 2026.

Requirements:

• Requirements include a diploma in Rehabilitation or the Social Sciences and/or 2 years experience working with behaviors.
• A valid Emergency First Aid/CPR and Medication Administration certification is required.
• A current police clearance check is REQUIRED upon interview.
• Occasional driving of the client is required. Must have class 5 drivers license with 2 million liability coverage.
