Position Summary
Worley Canada Construction is a leader in industrial construction in Alberta and western Canada. Worley Canada Construction Is seeking CWB Level 1 and Level 2 Quality Control Inspectors to join our Quality team at BHP Project in Jansen Saskatchewan. We are currently looking for candidates available for both day and night shifts.
Site Details
9 days on/ 5 days off 11 hour days Travel allowance
Responsibilities
Witness pump installations/alignments etc Ensuring Code and Client fabrication, PWHT and NDE requirements are implemented and completed at Shop and Field sites Proficient with QDMS and data entry Proficient with documentation ( ie, various reports, logs, test packages, certificates, DE, turnover documentation) and maintain documents current and up to date Visual Inspections of welds Issue weld procedures Populate FIWPs with weld maps, torque maps and ITPs Record/verify heat numbers from material being welded Support implementation of CAR, NCR required from Audit findings Review of ITPs Weld mapping Hydro-testing procedures (building hydro test packages) Prepare and finalizing pressure test packages Familiar with AB83’s Build walk down packages for inspections Other duties as assigned Maintain Quality documentation and programs Maintain and update QC files and drawings with new revisions Creating and reviewing inspections and Test Plans Read ISO/Engineered Drawings Bluebeam experience Understanding of welding processes Ability to use inspection tools Understanding NDE Processes Ability to Read Codes Understanding of Jurisdictional Authority of requirements Related experience in Industrial Oil & Gas Mechanical Construction Quality Control Knowledge of NDE processes, ASME Codes and Provincial Regulations and their applications to piping fabrications Knowledge of dimensional inspection techniques
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
High school diploma CWB Level 1 or 2 Welding Certificate Journeyman Red Seal
IT Skills
Basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel)
People Skills
Strong communication skills written and verbal Be able to communicate to all levels of management Must be well organized Attention to detail
Physical Requirements
60% Field Activities 40% Office Activities Climb Ladders Crawling Under/Over Obstructions Minor Lifting Wearing heavier safety equipment Sitting at a desk in front of a computer screen for extended periods
