We are looking for a Project Manager to support our municipal survey operations in Regina or Saskatoon.

Summary of Responsibilities:
- Respond to client requests for municipal, construction and legal survey services;
- Prepare survey bids, and interpret and recommend scope, spreadsheets, and project authorization;
- Distribute project job packages, ensuring relevant documentation is enclosed;
- Maintain relationships with clients and discuss upcoming projects and bids;
- Communicate with clients on client project requests, project specific and technical issues;
- Respond to project related inquiries from GIS technicians, Geomatics Technicians and Drafting staff;
- Review daily scope of work and HSE Safety requirements;
- Provide progress invoices and/or final invoices and invoice justification to clients;
- Provide mentorship and project management development to Geomatics Technicians;
- Communicate with client to establish project requirements, project scope, timelines, job expectations and resource requirements;
- Select appropriate staff, delegate work assignments and provide technical direction to project team;
- Calculate and check all types of survey plans;
- Reviewing progress and performance of survey field notes and data;
- Coordinate the documentation and tracking of the survey data for current projects;
- Responsible for accuracy and proper presentation of notes and ensuring they are completed according to schedule;
- Complete daily updates to project track sheets;
- Attend project meetings;
- Attend the field as necessary to provide technical direction and support to the field crews and to monitor progress and performance;
- Review project land information files and resolve issues;
- Consistently look for new ideas to streamline and gain efficiencies;
- Promote a positive work environment, including adherence to and active engagement in safety and quality policy and procedures.
- Arrange field crew orientation(s) and safe work permits; and
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Office Manager and/or Land Surveyor.
What You Offer:
- Degree or Diploma in Geomatics from a recognized technical school or equivalent experience;
- 3+ years of experience as a Geomatics Technician, Project Manager, or related position, or 5+ years of experience as a field crew lead/supervisor
- Experience managing or supervising people.
- SLS commission is an asset, but not required.
- Candidates that have an SLS designation will be considered for a Land Surveyor position.

- Displays excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization;
- Good understanding of operational business fundamentals;
- Displays a professional image (appearance and behavior) at all times, both in the office and when representing Midwest Surveys Inc.;
- Proven ability to motivate and engage other team members over the duration of the project to achieve continuous superior customer service and timely delivery of Midwest products;
- As a team player, has the ability to recognize employee skill short comings and provide mentorship, training, or reassign job activities to others;
- Identifies and addresses training requirements of team members for professional development; and
- Demonstrates accepted practices to both field crews and office staff in leadership skills with employee motivation and development.
