We’re hiring a Sr. Reliability Advisor to be part of a dynamic Reliability Engineering Team. We are particularly interested in an individual with heavy equipment maintenance background and is passionate about working with mining equipment fleet such as ultra class trucks, shovels, dozers, graders, excavators, wheel loaders etc. to achieve high availabilities and sustained reliability through continuous improvement, root cause failure analysis, and one-time cost-effective repairs.
This role gives you the opportunity to be at the forefront of our mining operations, where you will have an immediate impact on the business. You will be directly interfacing with Operations and Maintenance teams to mitigate threats impacting equipment reliability.
Minimum Requirements:
- 10 years of maintenance experience working with mining equipment
- Equipment specific knowledge with dozers and graders preferred
- Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyman off-road certification
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Office, Excel, Power Point and Access)
- Knowledge of SAP (creating notifications, viewing work orders, tracking component hours and uploading/ viewing work history, running reports for historical data)
- Knowledge of mobile equipment onboard data protocol systems and analysis
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Responsibilities:
- Manage downtime data for support equipment fleet (dozes/graders/excavators etc.) to ensure all unavailable equipment hours are tied to a contributing factor. Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis for equipment unavailable time and compile monthly downtime reports for distribution to maintenance and operations.
- Collaborate with the reliability engineers to address persistent equipment reliability issues and help develop long term solutions
- Manage all oil samples that are collected and entered in the oil sampling database. This includes acknowledging all samples, trending samples to flag any potential issues, submitting notifications when fluids need to be re-sampled, drained and or refilled and provide component condition analysis based on the samples
- Review all inspection reports that are created for the respective fleet and maintenance Passovers. The information in the inspection reports to be used to support the downtime data and month end analysis
- Review fault logs and alarms to surface any issues with equipment health and alarm management to maintenance and operations
- Assist maintenance planning team with WO planning, part number identification and work scope development
- Interface with vendors and technical service reps on component and reliability upgrades
- Perform ad-hoc requests for information and analysis using the downtime data report and SAP
Location and other Key Details:
- You will work out of our Syncrude Aurora site in Fort McMurray, AB
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
- If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory. Relocation support will be provided.
