Join our team as a Restorative Care Coordinator!
Under the direction of the Director of Resident Care, the Restorative Care Coordinator is responsible and accountable for the organization of therapy services and the delivery of restorative care services, participates as a member of the rehabilitation team in the development, implementation and evaluation of resident care plans focusing on continuity of care, and provides support for residents’ self-determination, encouraging independence and assisting residents to overcome barriers, promoting the concept of wellness
The following traits and qualifications are required:
A current certificate of registration with the appropriate college of a regulated health profession; or
Must possess a post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, kinesiology, therapeutic recreation or other related field from an Ontario post secondary institution, or an equivalent postsecondary diploma, degree or certificate from another jurisdiction
Possess at least one year of experience in a health care setting as required under the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021 ss. 70, and Ontario Regulation ss. 246/22)
Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education
Minimum of two years’ experience in geriatric rehabilitation or Long Term Care an asset
Computer skills an asset
Must be computer literate
