Overview
Reporting to the, the Senior Manager, IT Airline Operations Strategy & Delivery, the Senior Project Manager is a full-time role responsible for the delivery of projects that roll up to key enterprise and IT programs.
Key Responsibilities:

Delivery Planning – Establish delivery plans for IT Projects in a complex environment with work spanning multiple product teams. Work with Product and Delivery Managers to make sequencing decisions and to provide resourcing plans.

Financial Tracking – Understanding all aspects of your project budget and appropriately managing constraints.

Delivery Management – Lead key projects from inception to completion, orchestrating multiple teams and project-centric resources to align on project value delivery, along with management of scope, schedule and cost.

Sequencing & Dependency Management – Manage dependencies of varying complexity and collaborate with Program Managers and Product Managers to decide upon appropriate up and downstream sequencing decisions.

Communications & Stakeholder Management – Responsible for all proactive and reactive communications for project sponsors and stakeholders. This includes effective collaboration and working across teams.

Escalations – Awareness of external impacts of on-project decisions, proactively communicating escalations up and out to broader sponsors and stakeholders. Provide propose mitigation strategies and correction action as applicable.

Strategic Alignment – Liaise with both the Solution and Enterprise Architecture to ensure that key projects continue to adhere to technology strategies and enterprise priorities respectively.

Other responsibilities as assigned and consistent with the role.
Experience and qualifications:
-
Post-secondary education within an Information Technology or Engineering Field.

Project Management certification of any framework (i.e. PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous but not mandatory.

Any Agile and Product Management related certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
-
At least 8 years’ experience of delivering transformational technology projects
-
Experience working within enterprise environments, working with cross-functional teams, and managing a range of stakeholders.
-
Previous experience working in a technical capacity, in any role or discipline is advantageous.
Skills & Attributes:

Technical Competency – A technical background or exposure to complex technical deliveries that yields critical thinking and the ability to challenge technical feasibility.

Communications – The ability to communicate across organizational, technical, and political boundaries, distilling down complex technical information to a format consumable and understood by non-technical audiences and stakeholders.

Agile Delivery – The ability to work within hybrid delivery environments; waterfall/agile, product/project, leveraging DevOps and SDLC tooling for organizational efficiency.

Planning – The ability to lead a continual planning process in a very complex environment, whilst co-ordinating and coaching other delivery teams as a central point of expertise.

Management – Strong commercial acumen including financial management, contract negotiation, and vendor selection.

Self-Direction – The ability to work independently, establish relationships and working practices with colleagues from multiple specialisms.
