Your Key Responsibilities
- Performs project contract drawing reviews (drawings, specifications, shop drawings, material submittals, change orders, RFIs, etc.)
- Attends construction meetings and document discussions
- Performs periodic site visits and utilizes a site visit reporting system to identify and update action items
- Performs field testing to confirm building enclosure performance (water, air leakage, infrared testing, etc.)
- Assists in project management and coordination
- Assists in building condition assessments, reserve fund studies, and building envelope rehabilitation, and new construction projects
- Participates in continuing education
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks on multiple projects
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent communication and written skills in English
- Professional attitude with a strong commitment to succeed
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Must have a valid driver's license
Education and Experience
- Working towards Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of Building Science principles (heat transfer, vapour diffusion, material compatibilities), construction methods, or Building Envelope components is a plus
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
