About the role

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders. Bake mixed dough and batters. Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food. Prepare special orders. Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods. Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards. Operate machinery. Organize and maintain inventory. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colours. Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Hand-eye co-ordination. Repetitive tasks. Standing for extended periods. Personal suitability: Dependability. Team player. Patience. Offers phased re-entry options for mature workers who are returning to work after retiring (for example: gradually increasing hours and responsibilities) . Supports for visible minorities: Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities (for example: anonymizing the hiring process, etc.).
