Your new role

The Project Superintendent reports directly to the Project Manager and is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and safe delivery of capital projects across the Hemlo operation. This role provides leadership and oversight for assigned capital projects and field execution activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements. The Project Superintendent supports project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, contractor coordination, and stakeholder engagement, while working closely with the Project Manager to advance the site's operational and strategic objectives. The role collaborates with Operations, Maintenance, Technical Services, Environmental, Supply Chain, Finance, and external contractors to successfully deliver projects that create sustainable value for the operation.

What you'll need to succeed

B.Sc / B.Eng in Engineering or technical field preferred but not necessary depending upon experience. Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in mining, industrial construction, or heavy industrial operations, including at least 5 years leading capital projects with responsibility for safety, budget, schedule, contractor management, and project delivery. Project Management Professional (PMP) training or certification Proven track record in managing underground and surface mining projects including processing and tailings facilities. Strong understanding of mining operations, mineral processing, and tailings management. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
