About the role

Essential Duties

The following duties are an overview of the primary duties and responsibilities of theIT Coordinatorand should not be considered an all-inclusive list:

  • Provides prompt technical support on computers, servers and network by troubleshooting and answering questions to our internal employees to ensure they are operating in an efficient manner.

  • Provides assistance and training concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, Microsoft Office, electronic mail and operating systems.

  • Responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of computer systems, desktops and peripherals.

  • Configures hardware and software, setting up peripherals such as printers or routers, repairing equipment and providing daily support to end users.

  • Provides problem determination and resolution for all hardware and software issues.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in job duties by streamlining processes and procedures and working cooperatively to provide quality IT support.

  • Recommends policies, procedures and changes to ensure compliance in IT area.

  • Stays abreast of current IT developments as they apply to the area of responsibility through reading, research and formal education.

  • Attends training seminars to become better educated in area of expertise and applies related knowledge to enhance the Company’s business.

  • Participates in technological department projects and performs diagnostics of network and desktop environments.

  • Acts as the subject matter expert and ensures proper functioning of Windows Server, Office 365 (Outlook, SharePoint, Skype for Business), VMWare Products, SQL Database, etc.

  • Ensures proper system backups and restores are completed as directed by Manager.

  • Ensures desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems.

  • Interacts with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.

  • Oversees the set up and purchases of cell phone equipment as directed by departmental managers.

  • Recommends and implements upgrades on systems to ensure longevity.

  • Supports the testing and deployment of new applications and systems.

  • Purchases hardware and software as directed by departmental managers.

  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Required Training, Experience, Licenses and Certifications

In addition to performing satisfactorily all of the duties and responsibilities of the position, an individual in this position must possess and maintain the following knowledge, skills, qualifications and/or abilities:

  1. Minimum 5 years’ experience with:
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2

  • Microsoft Active Directory

  • Virtualization

  • Desktop support service

  1. Minimum 2 years’ experience with:

a. Terminal Server

  • Office365 administration including Outlook, SharePoint, and Skype for Business

  • VMWare VSphere Product for Server virtualization

  • VMWare View for VDI support

  • SAN and iSCSI with Virtualization

  • LAN/WAN routing and switching with Cisco equipment and managing multiple domains

  • VPN

  • Web servers, IIS, Apache, etc., running as both an intranet and internet capacity

  1. Knowledge of DNS and DHCP services in a Microsoft environment.
  • Experience with commercial Backup/Restore products such as Symantec Backup Exec
  • Certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, e.g.) are a plus, but not a requirement.
  • SQL Server administration is a plus, but not a requirement.
  1. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language at a level adequate to perform job functions, Korean language is also beneficial.
