Telecom Business & Operations Support Systems (BOS) must be more agile, flexible, robust, and resilient. Telecom BSS/OSS architecture is evolving to support superior 5G customer experience. Digitalization is critical, as is the journey to cloud is enabling CSPs to fully monetize business, technical and operational investments.

We in the Product Development Unit (PDU) Orchestration are at the fore front of this transformation with our offering. This position is part of the leadership team that would lead PDU Orchestration into the next phase of evolution.

Description of the role

As Head of Development Group Customer and Partner Engagement (CPE) within SA BOS Engineering Unit PDU Orchestration, you will be leading a group of highly talented team expert in their domain area. As leader of the development centre, you would be responsible for software development from design to release to support and maintenance of Ericsson Catalogue Manager (ECM), Ericsson Order Care (EOC), and Ericsson Digital Experience (DXP). You also will be responsible of microservices sub systems toward ESOA Product releases.

The three-core responsibility you would carry are:

  • Operative accountability: On Time with Quality delivery. Modularize & simplify development. Transform how we operate with accountability & information as deep in organization with vision & strategy driven with you
  • People accountability: Lead the organization for building leaders for today and tomorrow with focus on skills, interest & opportunity
  • Strategic accountability: uplift the organization for critical skills in Cloud, Security, SWDP, Security, AI/ML. Drive the focus on R in R&D with technology leadership.

You would be part of the PDU Orchestration leadership, reporting to the Head of PDU Orchestration, leading a global organization.

As a senior leader and a member of the Leadership Team, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong ability to innovate, collaborate, be result-oriented and a problem-solver in a highly fast-paced organization.

To secure business profitability and technology leadership, the candidate will show courage to lead change. Change management and communicative leadership skills will be key to success.

Good to have but not limiting

  • Master’s or Bachelor´s Degree related to Software Engineering or Business administration or similar experience.
  • A minimum of 5+ years in People Leadership in global setup in product development organization within SA BOS span
  • Background in Business Support Systems domain and related software technologies would be important

Your Pay
The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Sales Incentive Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for sales incentives as a part of Ericsson’s Sales Incentive Plan. Actual payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual incentive target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of 2 medical and dental plan options that allow an employee to select the level of coverage that suits their needs. Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of the Deluxe medical and dental plan coverages for themselves and eligible covered dependents.

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, 3-5 personal days (depending on role), 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and unlimited sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
