Junior Credit Analyst
Our client is a leader in its field and have been business for over 30 years with successful operations across North America. They are currently looking for a Junior Credit Analyst to join their team. It is a permanent, full time role ideally based in Calgary but we will consider other locations as well such as Montreal and Halifax. The successful candidate should have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience and fluency in French is considered a strong asset.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a bi-lingual (English/French) Junior Credit Analyst to join our team of dynamic professionals in our Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver or Halifax offices. Below are the key responsibilities, although the day to day may vary over time:
- Conduct basic risk analysis of various commercial businesses to assess creditworthiness
- Work closely with Credit Risk Manager to prepare annual portfolio risk rating reports
- Assist with the execution of internal audits and reporting
- Interact with the collection team and provide necessary support
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related fields
- Working towards a risk designation would be considered an asset
- Demonstrated experience in analysis and reporting combined with strong financial analysis skills (income statements, cash flow statements, balance sheet)
- Strong computer skills, MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP) would be considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral (bi-lingual French/English) required along with the ability to work well in a fast-paced self-driven environment
Location: This position is an on-site position at their office in Calgary (or Montreal or Halifax) with the option of working one day from home after probation.
Compensation: Comprehensive total compensation package includes base salary starting at $65,000 per year depending on experience, up to 10% bonus, extended benefits, and RRSP contributions.
