Ready to suit up as a University Campus Security Guard
What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk and act accordingly. Your keen sense of observation and strong social skills are your greatest strengths.
As a University Campus Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling at the campus.

Responsibilities for University Campus Security Guard
- Patrol critical areas to deter and detect suspicious activity.
- Control access by checking identification and monitoring secure areas.
- Complete daily activity and incident reports using the G-Track device.
- Respond promptly to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches.
- React quickly to threats or incidents and document all actions taken.
- Monitor and ensure proper functioning of security systems, including alarms and cameras.
- Handle alarms and perform on-site checks as needed.
- Manage crowds to ensure safety and order when required.
- Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents.
- Perform access control duties, ensuring authorized entry/exit.
- Operate site vehicles responsibly (valid driver’s license required).
- Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications for University Campus Security Guard
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid Manitoba security license
- First aid certification as asset
- Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
- Full class 5 advanced drivers license
- Provide a clean drivers abstract
- Ability to use technology based systems
