In this role, you’ll manage budgeting and forecasting, strengthen financial controls, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and support executive leadership in evaluating growth opportunities. You’ll also play a key role in optimizing systems and processes, developing financial models, and leading a high‑performing Finance team.
This fully remote role reports directly to the CFO and CEO.
Position Summary:
The Director of Finance is responsible for leading the organization’s financial planning, reporting, and control functions. This role provides strategic financial insight to senior leadership while ensuring strong financial discipline, compliance, and operational efficiency across the business. The Director of Finance partners closely with executives and department leaders to support growth, profitability, and long-term financial health.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy

Provide strategic financial leadership to support business objectives and long-term planning.

Partner with executive leadership to evaluate financial implications of strategic initiatives, investments, and acquisitions.

Develop financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support decision-making.
Financial Planning & Analysis

Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including multi-year financial plans.

Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts; identify risks and opportunities.

Prepare and present clear, actionable financial reports to senior leadership and the Board.
Accounting & Financial Reporting

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.

Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies.

Manage external audits and act as primary liaison with auditors and advisors.
Cash Flow & Risk Management

Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning.

Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities, and financing arrangements.

Identify and mitigate financial risks through strong internal controls and policies.
Compliance & Governance

Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and statutory reporting requirements.

Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial governance frameworks.

Support corporate governance requirements and Board reporting.
Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.

Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and professional development plans.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Process Improvement

Drive improvements in financial systems, tools, and processes to increase efficiency and scalability.

Support implementation or optimization of ERP, accounting, and reporting systems.
Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.

Experience working closely with executive leadership and Boards.

Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.

Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.

Clear and confident communicator, able to translate financial data into insights.

High attention to detail with the ability to balance strategy and execution.
