Role: Python AI Backend Engineer
Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)
Top/Required Skills: Python, FastAPI, System Design, End-to-End Software Development, REST APIs, Component-Based Architecture, MCP Servers, Google ADK, LangChain, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), PySpark, PostgreSQL, Docker, CI/CD Pipelines, Agentic AI / GenAI, AI Backend Development.
Looking for a hands-on Python AI Backend Engineer capable of building enterprise-grade GenAI applications from end to end.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and support Python-based applications and services. Build and maintain REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
Build AI-powered backend services
Design scalable APIs Develop reusable components Build RAG-based applications Integrate MCP servers Deploy applications using containerized environments
Must-Have Skills
5+ years Software Engineering with Python End-to-End Software Development (Full SDLC) System Design Python FastAPI / Flask REST APIs & Microservices System Design & Component-Based Architecture LangChain / RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) MCP (Model Context Protocol) / MCP Servers Google ADK Agentic AI / GenAI / LLM Applications PySpark PostgreSQL / SQL Docker / Containerization CI/CD Pipelines Linux Event-Driven Architecture / Kafka / MQ Cloud Platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) Banking / Financial Services Domain (Preferred)
Education
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience in a STEM-related field. Advanced degree preferred.
