Behaviour is looking for a talented Senior Mission Designer to help shape the gameplay experience of a brand-new AAA IP.
In this role, you’ll leverage both your creative vision and technical expertise to craft missions that drive the moment-to-moment excitement of the game. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team and a renowned external partner, you’ll play a key role in defining the flow, pacing, and emotional impact of the player journey on this ambitious Unreal Engine 5 project.If you’re passionate about designing memorable missions and want to be part of an amazing team building a cutting-edge AAA experience, this is the opportunity for you!
In this role you will :
- Design, prototype, and own missions from concept to final implementation, ensuring they deliver engaging objectives, combat encounters, and scenarios aligned with the game’s narrative and core gameplay pillars.
- Shape mission flow, pacing, and difficulty curves to ensure engaging and rewarding experiences.
- Combine combat, exploration, and storytelling into cohesive, interactive experiences.
- Partner with systems designers to ensure missions complement progression, rewards, and core mechanics.
- Clearly communicate your design intent to the creative director, artists, engineers, and QA across the full production pipeline.
What we're looking for :
- 4–5 years of proven experience designing missions, quests, or levels on shipped AAA or mid-size titles.
- Strong understanding of mission design principles, including flow, pacing, player motivation, and engagement loops.
- Proficiency with Unreal Engine 5.
- Ability to balance narrative-driven storytelling with gameplay-driven challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset, in English and/or French.
- Experience with multiplayer and open-world projects.
- Familiarity with visual scripting and sequencing tools, such as Blueprint or Flowgraph, for mission logic.
