The opportunity

As an Associate Pension Administrator, you will work within a team that provides quality, client-focused administrative services for our corporate clients. This role is ideal for someone looking to apply analytical skills while contributing to exceptional technical excellence and client service in Retirement Administration.

What you’ll do

  • Process interfund transfers, contributions, withdrawals, and terminations for clients with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide regular and ad hoc reports tailored to client needs.
  • Receive and respond to plan member and client inquiries in a professional, solutions-oriented manner.
  • Enter, update, and audit information; perform and verify transactions using in-house software systems.
  • Liaise with consultants, trust companies, and investment manager representatives regarding clients’ DC plans.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
  • Stay current on applicable pension, tax, and securities legislation; proactively share knowledge with the team.
  • Attend internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and emerging trends.
  • Uphold quality control and service standards with every transaction, keeping the client’s perspective at the forefront.
  • Serve as back-up for inbound calls from members and clients, and participate in special projects as required.

What you bring

  • Relevant university degree in a related field.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a customer-focused role within the pension industry, with a foundation in provincial pension and tax legislation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong professional judgment.
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills; ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of group benefits (DB/DC pension or group insurance).
  • CSC or IFIC designation completed or in progress.

Total Base Pay Range

39,900.00 - 57,000.00 - 74,100.00 CAD Annual
