Job Title: Wire Transfer Specialist Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid) Duration: 6 months contract (with possibility of extension/conversion)
Summary of the Role Responsible for providing operational support and processing high volumes of financial transactions, including bank wires, money movement requests, withdrawals, transfers, and related operational activities. The role supports Corporate, Commercial, and Small Business Banking by ensuring transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The successful candidate will also manage shared inbox requests, perform accurate data processing, review documentation, and respond to requests from government agencies, provincial governments, and internal business partners while maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities · Process high volumes of financial transactions, including bank wires, withdrawals, transfers, and money movement activities. · Manage shared inbox requests and respond to operational inquiries in a timely manner. · Perform accurate data entry and update information within internal databases and systems. · Review documentation and retrieve requested information for government agencies, provincial governments, and internal business partners. · Validate transaction information and perform adjustments within assigned authority levels. · Execute transactions accurately, on time, and in accordance with established guidelines and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). · Process requests while maintaining strict accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance. · Support Corporate, Commercial, and Small Business Banking operations through efficient transaction processing. · Refer or escalate processing or operational issues to the appropriate business partners when required. · Investigate non-standard or high-risk activities and escalate concerns appropriately. · Respond to internal and external partner requests effectively while maintaining service quality. · Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and operational processes. · Support the timely and accurate completion of business processes. · Manage workload effectively to meet productivity targets and operational deadlines. · Adhere to enterprise operational frameworks, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Business Continuity Management, and Bank Code of Conduct requirements. · Participate in daily team touchpoints and operational work distribution. · Ensure due diligence is applied to support the accuracy of all transactions. · Adopt new processes, technology improvements, and evolving operational procedures.
Customer Responsibilities · Execute transactions accurately, on time, and in accordance with established procedures and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). · Support partners with incoming transactions by validating information and processing adjustments within authority levels. · Respond to partner requests effectively and within required service timelines. · Ensure customer problems are handled appropriately and escalate issues when necessary. · Contribute positively to the overall customer experience and service quality. · Provide subject matter expertise to internal and external partners within the defined operational area.
Shareholder Responsibilities · Prioritize and manage workload to meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements for service and productivity. · Understand internal and industry regulations and apply appropriate due diligence while adhering to operating policies and procedures. · Exercise discretion when managing confidential information and correspondence. · Support the timely and accurate completion of business processes. · Identify opportunities for operational and process improvements. · Investigate and escalate non-standard or high-risk activities as appropriate. · Contribute to satisfactory audit results by following audit and process guidelines. · Comply with enterprise operational frameworks, Bank Code of Conduct, and regulatory requirements. · Demonstrate flexibility by adapting to changing business priorities and operational processes.
Must-Have Skills · 2–4 years of banking or financial institution experience. · Tech savvy with the ability to quickly learn new software and internal systems. · Prior experience working in SLA-driven environments. · Proficiency in MS Office 365, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. · Strong attention to detail and accuracy. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Accountable and responsible work ethic. · Ability to handle high volumes of work while meeting strict deadlines. · Strong quantitative and analytical skills. · Excellent organizational and time management skills. · Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. · Self-motivated and goal-oriented. · Ability to adapt to changing policies, procedures, and technology.
Nice-to-Have Skills · Prior bank wire processing experience.
