Role Description The Accountant role at Mehtoj Group Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Winnipeg, MB. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and payroll support. This role will prepare financial statements, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and monitor expenses to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The Accountant will collaborate with operations and management teams to provide financial insights, support audits, and maintain organized financial records. The position also involves improving financial processes, implementing controls, and supporting management in decision-making with timely financial data.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including experience with general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliations. Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as MS Excel for data analysis and financial modeling. Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and payroll processing. Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to maintain organized financial records. Ability to analyze financial data, prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance reports, and present findings clearly. Understanding of relevant tax regulations and compliance requirements for Canadian businesses. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with operations, management, and external partners. Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional designation (CPA or in progress) is an asset. Experience in transportation, logistics, or warehousing environments is an advantage. Capacity to work on-site in Winnipeg, MB, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic operational setting.
