About the role

The Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC) is hiring a Maintenance Trades Supervisor on a permanent basis on our Maintenance & Reliability team.    This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, SK.

What you’ll do: 

You will lead and manage a team of trade employees, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality work. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Setting safety, performance, and development expectations for all trade groups reporting to this position and conducting regular field audits to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and in a cost-effective manner aligned with maintenance schedules. 

  • Leading, mentoring, and supervising direct reports, including performance management, attendance, and disciplinary processes. 

  • Assigning and directing work based on employee competencies to optimize productivity and outcomes. 

  • Identifying and resolving work delays and roadblocks to support timely repairs and reviewing completed work orders for accuracy and quality. 

  • Supporting the development and monitoring of daily and weekly schedules to meet operational and customer needs. 

  • Developing and implementing safe work practices and procedures for the trade team. 

  • Promoting a strong safety culture through initiatives such as stretch programs, toolbox talks, and safety meetings. 

  • Contributing to asset management strategies, including equipment repair plans, reliability improvements, and upgrade recommendations. 

Who you’ll work with:  The Team: You will work closely with a team of Equipment Mechanics / Pipefitters and other Maintenance Supervisors, reporting into the Maintenance Trades Manager. This team strives to cultivate a culture of safety, efficiency and teamwork.

Who you are:  You are looking for a career in  Production, Trades and Maintenance  and: 

  • Have 8+ years of progressive trades experience, including 3+ years of leadership experience.  

  • Have a Grade 12 diploma plus an Interprovincial Journeyperson or Proficiency certificate in one of the designated trades within Saskatchewan (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered) 

  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Pipefitter trade.
