Position Overview

Are you a college or university student in emergency preparedness or emergency measures —or a related field and interested in a management career in our region?

We need you this summer for a 14-week full-time period (from May to August 2026).

You will have the opportunity to work closely with our multidisciplinary team of professionals in the Emergency Preparedness Department.

Your primary responsibilities will include the following:

• Update each department’s emergency medical (EM) code information (develop a flip chart to replace binders)

• Assist with reviewing forms (Code White, Code Yellow, debrief, etc.) and collaborate with other departments

• Create fan-out lists for each department (Code Orange)

• Conduct Code Green exercises with each department individually

• Catalog items in storage with photos

• Organize the setup of the tent and handle maintenance

• Research EM AI software for training and tracking codes (number, location, debrief) and schedule meetings with each vendor

• Support for the accreditation process, etc.
