Role Overview The Manager’s primary focus is to plan, oversee and monitor the successful completion and implementation of all readiness projects for the Business Operations team. The incumbent is responsible for leading and enhancing a team of Operations Analysts that work on the in-depth analysis of all system enhancements, regulatory changes, new client onboarding’s, Operational process changes and other IT related initiatives to ensure the successful transition from idea to project to production deployment limiting the impact to Production efficiencies.
Role Responsibilities Technical Expertise and Project Management:
- Maintains oversight of all known changes impacting Business Operations and manages/monitors the successful executions of those changes
- Defines risk-based testing scope and coverage on the system and/or business processes related to incoming changes
- Collaborates with cross-functional peers for the successful delivery of shared goals/initiatives
- Support the process for changes submitted at the weekly TA Ops review forum by providing guidance and managing expectations of Stakeholders
- Keeps the Business Operations Director and Vice President updated on key changes, client escalations, root cause, business and process improvements
- Provides support and input into Operations guide creation during onboarding or conversions, leads annual review of the operations guide providing final sign off on documentation changes
- Contributes to Model Office planning and test case creation for any assigned client onboarding or conversions
- Acts as a consultant on Business Operation functions/processes and ensures SME’s are engaged with the Business Analysts and iFast Development teams in defining business requirements for internal and external client projects
- Participates in all LEAN process reviews and other opportunities to identify areas for improvements
- Supports the review of process improvements and common areas of weaknesses in IFDS products and processes in order to propose solutions
- Maintains a high level of expertise of transaction processing, allowing them to effectively offer support in discussions surrounding root cause analysis and resolution
- Assumes overall accountability for effective communications and coordination of team activities within and outside division
- Exchange information with management, staff, client(s) and various external contacts to explain system functionality, policies, procedures and corporate guidelines as well as to present recommendations to upper management
- Project management, planning and organizational skills in order to execute assignments within established timeframes and quality standards
- Understands financial and operational goals of IFDS and fosters an environment of continuous improvement with a focus on cost management for IFDS
- Stays current with Industry changes and participates in key Industry forums such as IFIC and Fundserv working groups
- Represents Business Operations at various internal project and change committees
People Management
- Leading a team of Operational Analysts who liaise with Internal and External Business partners responsible for analyzing and reporting on the impact of all initiatives and changes that will impact Business Operations
- Responsible for assigning, tracking and prioritizing work for a group of Operational Analysts
Provides Leadership To Direct Reports And Their Staff To Build a Team Environment Where Excellence Is The Goal Of Everyone By
- Models the values and the goals of the organization and the management team
- Provides day-to-day coaching relative to the development of both technical and behavioral competencies
