Paladin Security is Hiring a Security Dispatch! Location: Markham, ON

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday | 10:00 - 18:00 hrs

Pay Rate: $19.61/hour

Overview Join Paladin Security and become an essential part of a professional and dynamic security team at CF Markville Mall — one of Markham's busiest retail centers. As a Security Dispatch Operator , you'll be the central point of coordination between field security officers, mall management, and emergency responders. This is a critical communications role requiring strong multitasking, situational awareness, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the dispatching of on-site security and operations personnel to calls for service
• Operate and monitor CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and life safety systems
• Maintain clear, accurate communication logs and activity reports for all security and maintenance operations
• Respond to and manage incoming calls, alarms, and security-related inquiries
• Direct and support field personnel during emergency situations, ensuring proper escalation and coordination
• Review and manage recorded CCTV footage for incident investigations
• Monitor and control contractor and visitor access; issue ID badges as required
• Support incident response and communication with external emergency services
• Assist tenants, visitors, and mall patrons in a courteous and professional manner
• Control access to the security control center and ensure confidentiality of operations
• Perform additional duties as assigned by site management

Requirements

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid G Driver's License
• Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification
• Minimum 1 year of security experience required; 3-4 years preferred
• Vulnerable Sector Check
• Fully vaccinated (COVID-19 Double Dose)
• High level of customer service and professionalism
• Strong knowledge of CCTV, fire alarm systems, and access control systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and make sound decisions under pressure
• Working knowledge of Windows-based computer systems and Google Docs
• Ability to walk, stand, and respond quickly in emergency situations
• Completion of Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred
