Job Description:
The Financial Planning (FP) National Office (NO) is responsible for defining and executing against the 5-year strategy and growth aspirations of the TD Wealth Financial Planning business. The team provides central strategy & support for the Financial Planning, and the Financial Planning Direct businesses:
- 5-year vision and leadership of key strategic initiatives for TD Wealth Financial Planning and Financial Planning Direct
- Programs and initiatives to drive acquisition, client retention, sales effectiveness and legendary client experiences
- Own business design of compensation, strategic initiatives and product roadmap
- Thought leadership and continuous delivery of improved end-to-end experiences for both Financial Planners and clients
Job Description
The Associate, FP Strategic Program Management, is responsible for supporting various initiatives focused on enhancing client engagement, facilitating acquisition efforts, and improving planner practices.
Key programs to be supported are focused on:
- Promoting growth through the development and implementation of initiatives and campaigns designed to increase NAG
- Strengthening client relationships by introducing additional bank offerings (such as insurance, credit, or various account types)
- Managing risk by ensuring that all key programs comply with requirements established by control partners
- Assisting Elite planners by overseeing existing Elite programs and supporting the creation of new ones, with an emphasis on achieving self-sourced outcomes
Primary responsibilities for this role include:
- Collecting insights to inform program development and developing subject matter expertise
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of key programs using data and analytics to determine whether strategic objectives are met
- Collaborating with partners and contributors across the organization to ensure alignment on key programs
- Preparing communications, presentations, and tools to explain and highlight key programs and contribute to desired outcomes
- Overseeing shared mailboxes, serving as the initial point of contact for questions and submissions related to key programs
- Serving as the subject matter expert on key programs and coordinating with field teams and advisory councils as necessary
Job Requirements
- Knowledge of financial products and services, and experience in the Financial Planning and Wealth Management sectors
- Background in managing, leading, and reporting on complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, including experience with data analysis, interpretation, and preparing reports or presentations
- Proficient communication skills, with the ability to develop materials for planners and leaders
- Experience collaborating and influencing stakeholders at various organizational levels
- Ability to take initiative, manage ambiguity, and establish teams, processes, and governance frameworks
- Commercial awareness and understanding of how TD generates value
- A post-secondary degree is required; additional industry certifications are considered assets
