Bobier Villa is a 57-bed long-term care facility nestled in the community of Dutton in the Municipality of Dutton/Dunwich, just 20 minutes west of London, Ontario. Bobier Villa offers 24-hour nursing care, private and basic accommodation, sitting areas, expansive gardens, a large water feature, and gazebos. Whitelock Place serves as a gathering area for residents, family members and guests and hosts a wide variety of recreational and spiritual programs in a beautiful home-like setting.
Position Title: Personal Support Worker (PSW)
Type: Part-time
Compensation: $30.87 – $31.30/hour as per collective agreement
About the Role:
As a certified Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in our residents’ daily lives. You’ll be joining a dedicated care team that works collaboratively to support dignity, safety, and overall well-being through established job routines.
Your responsibilities include:
- Providing personal care such as bathing, dressing, and transfers
- Assisting with meals and nutrition support
- Tidying resident rooms and common areas
- Performing minor treatments and reporting health observations
- Responding to call bells with attentiveness and empathy
- Participating in care planning through daily reports
- Supporting inclusive, respectful, and equitable care delivery
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Personal Support Worker certificate program from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Must be willing to further training/education of the Personal Support Worker field through in-services, etc.
- Proof of registration with the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) preferred.
- Familiarity with:
- Health & Safety Procedures
- Resident Bill of Rights
- Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021
- Point Click Care
- Demonstrates a commitment to the delivery of safe, efficient care to the personal needs of residents.
