As an Individual Disability Claims Analyst, you will play a key role in evaluating and managing disability claims while ensuring a client experience built on professionalism, fairness, empathy, and accountability. What You’ll Accomplish With Us As an Individual Disability Claims Analyst, you will be at the core of our mission. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting in-depth analyses of disability claims by gathering, assessing, and interpreting relevant medical, vocational, financial, and contractual information. Determining eligibility for benefits by applying contractual provisions, internal guidelines, and medical and functional assessment principles. Managing complex or high-impact claims by collaborating with internal stakeholders, including medical consultants, managers, and specialized teams. Preparing clear and professional written communications, including claim approval and denial decisions, while ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Maintaining regular communication with policyholders and their representatives to answer questions, provide updates, and explain claim decisions. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by keeping your knowledge current and sharing expertise with team members. What Will Help You Succeed in This Role We are looking for someone who: Is recognized for their strong analytical thinking and ability to exercise sound judgment in complex situations. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills, professionalism, and a solution-oriented mindset. Shows strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Has excellent written and verbal communication skills and can collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders. Has a minimum of three years of experience in claims management, disability claims, or a related field. Has knowledge of the medical field or long-term disability insurance (an asset). Demonstrates autonomy, adaptability, and resilience in a dynamic environment where priorities and volumes can change quickly. Possesses an advanced level of English and French proficiency, both written and spoken, as the role requires the analysis of unilingual English claims files and communication with English-speaking clients, healthcare providers, and business partners on a daily basis.
