About the role

Job Description Toast is recruiting on behalf of this company for a Solutions Architect to join their Vancouver-based team. This company is looking for a forward-thinking and consultative technology leader who is passionate about designing value-driven solutions that meet real business challenges. This role blends deep technical knowledge with a strategic mindset, empowering clients through thoughtful architecture and solution planning.

Responsibilities

  • Architect modern, scalable technology solutions tailored to business needs and industry standards.
  • Lead client engagements to understand their technical requirements and guide them toward optimal digital strategies.
  • Produce comprehensive documentation, including conceptual and physical designs, technical diagrams, implementation plans, and transition guides.
  • Partner with account teams to support sales initiatives and expand client opportunities through solution alignment.
  • Present and position managed services and cloud offerings that deliver tangible outcomes.
  • Draft service proposals, contracts, and client deliverables with precision and clarity.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, fostering long-term relationships and contributing to client success through continuous engagement and support.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in technology architecture, with expertise in at least two of the following areas:

  • Data Centre Architecture

  • Virtualization, Storage, or Hyper Converged Infrastructure

  • Public, Private, or Hybrid Cloud (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS)

  • Security architecture, including risk assessments and compliance

  • Microsoft ecosystem: Windows, 365, Intune, SCCM

  • Solutions from Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware, Citrix, Nutanix

  • 5+ years of experience in a client-facing consulting or solution-selling role with quota accountability.

  • Proficiency in facilitating strategic workshops and technical envisioning sessions.

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Familiarity with structured sales and solution delivery methodologies.
