Coquitlam School District invites applications from individuals for the position of on-call Youth Workers. As the third largest school district in the province we are located within a 40 minute drive from downtown Vancouver. The school district has a population of 34,000 students with approximately 4,400 teaching, administrative, managerial and support staff.
Reporting to the administrator/designate this position provides supplementary support to students and their families with respect to educational, social, family, cultural, emotional and career needs.
Qualifications will include the completion of a two-year post-secondary education diploma in child/youth care from a recognized college/institution or completion of two years of university course work in Psychology or Sociology. A valid Class 5 B.C Driver’s License is required.
We offer $34.28 per hour plus 16% in lieu of benefits.
All applicants are advised that they must sign a release to permit two successful police checks prior to confirmation of hiring.
