About the role
The IT Operations Analyst role is to support computer, server and network systems including hardware and software components, to ensure high levels of availability and security compliance for the IT infrastructure supporting the business. This individual also participates in the day to day operational and support activities for the end users’ requirements. This position focuses on SCCM Administration and the skill set required for it is on the level of Architect.
Responsibilities
- SCCM Infrastructure Design & Maintenance: Site roles, boundary groups, SQL Server integration and performance tuning
- Software Deployment & Packaging: MSI/EXE packaging, task sequences for OS deployment and upgrades, application supersedence and dependencies
- Operating System Deployment (OSD): PXE boot configuration, driver management
- Patch Management: Software Update Groups (SUGs), Automatic Deployment Rules (ADRs), WSUS integration and troubleshooting
- Client Management: Client installation and health monitoring, remote control and inventory collection
- Reporting & Compliance: SSRS and Power BI integration, custom queries and reports, baseline configuration and compliance settings
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Endpoint Protection integration, BitLocker and Windows Defender policies
- PowerShell scripting for automation, Intune co-management and hybrid scenarios, Active Directory and Group Policy integration
- Log file analysis (Client logs, MP logs, etc.), status messages and alerts, troubleshooting failed deployments and updates
- Documentation and change management, project planning and stakeholder communication
- Participates in the day-to-day operational support and service delivery by monitoring and responding to incidents and changes through the internal ticketing system
- Promotes and champions best practices, security policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Competencies
- 5+ years experience with SCCM administration: Creation of packages/applications, O/S Task Sequences, Baselines, PowerShell scripting, Reporting
- 5+ years experience with administration of Windows Server operating systems, Group Policy & Active Directory administration
- 3+ years of experience with Virtualization: Administration of VMware vSphere, Hyper-V
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-pace and ever-changing work environment
- Excellent levels of problem-solving, communication and interpersonal
