What You Will Do
Reporting to the Senior Foreperson, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and supervising the daily aspects of track maintenance, rehabilitation and construction on the subway and RT rail lines. This generally involves track maintenance and rehabilitation that must be performed at night due to the requirement of track system shutdown conditions with no revenue service operating. The incumbent also performs administrative duties such as budgeting and preparing written reports and documentation concerning track operations and employees.
As a TTC employee you are responsible for treating passengers and/or employees with respect and dignity and ensuring the needs of passengers or employees with disabilities are accommodated and/or addressed (if applicable and within their area of responsibility) in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders so that they can fully benefit from the TTC as a service provider and an employer and you will also be participating in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program.

What Qualifications Do You Bring?
- Your application demonstrates having completed Technical high school diploma or equivalent, plus post-secondary coursework in Civil Engineering/Civil Technology. A Community College diploma is a plus.
- You have a valid non-probationary, Province of Ontario Class “G” license; Class “DZ” may be required. You have access to a vehicle for work inspections.
- You have a technical background and knowledge of track inspection, construction, maintenance, and repair.
- You have supervisory experience in rail track maintenance/construction.
- You can read and prepare drawings with a basic of understanding of budgets, estimates, and work schedules.
- Your application demonstrates familiarity with relevant software applications.
- You have strong judgment, supervisory, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- You have completed Subway/SRT Rule Book and other relevant courses and any other applicable training/programs this includes understanding of relevant government legislation and collective agreements
