Position Summary The Live-In Community Manager is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our residential rental community, while providing exceptional customer service to our tenants. This role assists with leasing activities, is responsible for move-ins and move-outs, building oversight, and tenant engagement. The Community Manager helps maintain a welcoming, well-managed community while ensuring the property is cared for and tenants receive professional and responsive service.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Tenant Relations

Assist with the leasing process from responding to inquiries, scheduling and conducting property tours, and supporting the application process

Communicate professionally with prospective and current tenants

Provide information on building amenities, policies, and community guidelines
-
Support lease documentation and administrative tasks as required
Move-In / Move-Outs

Conduct move-in and move-out inspections and walkthroughs
-
Ensure proper documentation and communication during the transition process

Provide tenants with building information and welcome materials
Building Oversight & General Care

Monitor the overall condition of the property and common areas daily
-
Report maintenance issues and coordinate with maintenance teams or vendors as needed

Assist in ensuring the building is clean, safe, and well maintained

Support building operations and help address day-to-day issues as they arise
Tenant Experience & Community Engagement

Foster a positive and welcoming community environment

Assist in planning and organizing tenant events and community activities
-
Respond to tenant questions, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner

Help maintain strong relationships with tenants
Administrative & Operational Support

Prepare and distribute tenant communication and notices
-
Collection of rental arrears, and maintaining organized records and communication logs

Support management with general administrative duties

Ensure compliance with building policies and procedures
After-Hours Availability
-
As this is a live-in position, the Community Manager must be available after hours to respond to building-related emergencies when they arise, and assist in holiday coverage for other rental communities

Coordinate with maintenance teams or emergency services as required to ensure issues are addressed promptly and safely
Qualifications
-
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Residential Community Manager or Residential Property Manager is required, along with extensive knowledge of the BC Residential Tenancy Act

Experience with property management software and Microsoft Office, an asset

Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
-
Professional, approachable, and service-oriented

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks

Problem-solving mindset and ability to respond to tenant needs efficiently

Ability to work independently and maintain a professional presence within the building
-
A valid driver’s license and vehicle is essential for this role
Work Environment This is a live-in position requiring the Community Manager to reside on-site and maintain a visible and professional presence within the building. Some evening or weekend availability may be required to support turnovers, tenant needs, community events and emergency situations.
