Summary
Lantic is currently recruiting for the position of Journeyperson Welder, located at its Taber processing plant. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
We Are Looking for Someone Who Will:
- Maintain and execute maintenance reliability, quality control and integrity programs within the maintenance department.
- Must be willing and able to work a rotating shift schedule consisting of day and night shifts.
- Must be able to work rotating 12 hour shifts, as well as weekends and holidays.
- Other duties and activities as appropriate and necessary.
What You'll Need to Join the Team:
- Alberta Journeyperson Welder Red Seal certification or equivalent Canadian journeyperson certification with Interprovincial Red Seal;
- B Pressure Welding Ticket would be an asset;
- Completion of grade 12 or a GED and a minimum of 2 years related work experience;
- Must have or be willing to obtain Confined Space, Fall Protection, Fit Testing, and any other required training;
- Commitment to work in a safe and efficient manner (adherence to Lock Out-Tag Out, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Hot Work, and other applicable regulations and practices);
- Basic mechanical experience is an asset;
- Food industry experience is an asset;
- Able to work independently and within a team environment;
- Strong troubleshooting skills;
- Solid background in industrial and production maintenance;
- Basic computer skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work with others to perform all aspects of maintenance activities;
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes would be an asset;
- Must be willing and able to wear respiratory equipment when required.
