Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a PeopleSoft Developer. This position involves supporting a major PeopleSoft 9.2 upgrade project, focusing on retrofitting and enhancing custom code to ensure a smooth transition to the new version. The successful candidate will play a key role in software modernization efforts for core financial and regulatory systems.
Pay rate range (CAD): $57.97/hr – $69.56/hr
Responsibilities
- Retrofit and rewrite existing PeopleSoft custom code for version 9.2
- Enhance current functionalities to support upgrade requirements
- Collaborate with senior developers and subject matter experts to execute development tasks
- Support database-driven development using Oracle and SQL
- Ensure customizations function correctly post-upgrade and meet internal standards
- Participate in team-based development activities, excluding production support
- Contribute to infrastructure-related activities throughout the upgrade process
Desired Skill-Set
- 5-8 years of PeopleSoft application development experience
- Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft upgrades, especially custom code retrofitting
- Strong understanding of PeopleSoft development objects
- Proficiency with Oracle databases and SQL
- Ability to modify and enhance existing code confidently
- Experience in structured, instruction-driven development environments
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-managed in execution
Nice to Have
- Additional PeopleSoft proprietary objects experience
- Exposure to financial systems or finance modules within PeopleSoft
- Oracle or PeopleSoft certifications
- Knowledge of other PeopleSoft modules relevant to finance
- Previous experience supporting large-scale upgrade projects
