School Bookkeeper / Secretary
About the role
The Catholic Independent Schools of Diocese of Nelson (CISND), hosts six elementary schools, and one high school. The diocese is located in the beautiful Okanagan and Kootenay regions of British Columbia.
**St. Mary's School (Cranbrook, BC) ** is now accepting applications for a:
School Bookkeeper / Secretary
This a full time (35 hours per week) position. Duties will include school front office administrative duties, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
Start date: August 10 or earlier (to be determined for training purposes).
Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications

Commitment to Catholic Education
-
Identification with and participation in the life of a Catholic parish
-
Successful completion of an Bookkeeping Program from a recognized Post-Secondary Institution and/or equivalent training and/or experience in office administration.

Bookkeeping experience
-
Knowledge of a QuickBooks an asset
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in the use of computers and related technology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ** **Ability to use discretion when dealing with confidential matters
- Ability to work well with administrators, school staff, and the extended community

- Photocopy of Driver's License
