POSITION: English Language Learning (ELL) Teacher
APPOINTMENT: 0.2 FTE Temporary
DURATION:** September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 **
Qualifications Required:
1. education degree plus English language learner specialization (3 upper- level courses including ELL methodologies);
2. recent successful classroom teaching experience in adapting curriculum;
3. ability to
- carry out norm-referenced assessments;
- lead in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Annual Instruction Plans in consultation with team members;
4. knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices;
5. demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level;
6. effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills;
7. ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and
8. BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.
