Business Analyst: Procom is searching for a Business Analyst for a 12-month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Calgary or Edmonton office.
Business Analyst - Job Description: Seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support an Operations Enhancements initiative. The ideal candidate will drive strategic improvements to operational processes, leveraging analytical expertise to identify and address pain points, ensuring successful implementation by bridging business objectives with technical execution.
Business Analyst - Responsibilities:
- Act as the liaison between the business and technical teams to ensure operational enhancements align with long-term goals.
- Leverage analytical expertise to conduct root cause analyses and map current and future state processes.
- Conduct targeted facilitation and cross-collaborative workshops with SMEs, IT teams, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Lead the elicitation and documentation of business and functional requirements, emphasizing traceability, prioritization, and testability.
- Develop and maintain requirements artifacts (BRDs, RTMs), ensuring continuous validation against business objectives.
- Collaborate with technical teams to align solution design, validate business expectations, and support UAT.
- Champion the adoption and continuous improvement of Business Analysis governance standards.
Business Analyst - Mandatory Skills:
- Minimum 5+ years of Business Analysis experience across complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- Proven delivery experience in ERP Implementations.
- Hybrid Delivery experience.
- BRD Development and RTM Management in JIRA, Confluence (or equivalent tools).
- Process modeling (BPMN 2.0).
- Experience with Maximo Application Suite, Oracle Field Service, and Utility & Pipeline Data Model (UPDM).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Business Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in the Natural Gas Utility, infrastructure, or energy sectors.
- Exposure to geo-spatial and asset management systems and integration.
- Familiarity with change management/transformation models.
- CBAP certification is an asset.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Business Analyst – Assignment Length: This is a 12-month contract position.
Business Analyst - Assignment Location: Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta, Canada | Hybrid position with a minimum of 2 days in-office.
