Position: Full-time Temporary ending August 28, 2026
Closing Date: April 8, 2026

This position is offered through the support of the Government of Canada-Canada Summer Jobs Program. All applicants must meet the minimum requirements of that program (see below).

The Office Assistant – Summer/Co-op Student provides key administrative support to management and the accounting team, ensuring smooth operations. The Office Assistant manages reception, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel. Additionally, they organize, and archive files. This position offers a great opportunity to develop administrative skills in a collaborative, professional environment.

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • must be between 16 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
  • was registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year;
  • intends to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year;
  • is a student in post-secondary, vocational, or technical program;
  • is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*and;
  • is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.

Qualifications

Education and Professional Certification

  • Classes towards either a Certificate or diploma in office administration or a related field of study.

Experience

  • Experience working on computers with software packages including; Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Duties and Responsibilities

Services

  • Manage reception, and assist visitors.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Maintain and organize files, including archiving.
  • File incoming purchase orders and match to vendor invoices.
  • Ensure the reception and boardroom areas are tidy and presentable.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Assist with budget projections or reconciliations.

  • Model agency values and ensure policy compliance

Safety

  • Maintain, promote, and reinforce safe work habits, practices, and procedures.
  • Adhere to written or verbal agency and government regulations, policies, practices, and instructions.

Additional Requirements

The incumbent is responsible for completing all mandatory training requirements for the position as per agency policy and guidelines.

Wage for this position is $21.68 per hour.

Ranch Ehrlo, a non-profit organization, was founded by the late Dr. Geoff Pawson in 1966. It started as a single home for six boys with significant complex needs and grew to a multi-service agency delivering a wide range of accredited mental health and developmental services delivered in southern Saskatchewan and in and around Saskatoon and Prince Albert.
