About the role
We are looking for the right person to join our team as a Red Seal Welder Fabricator
Typical requirements include short lead time, small to large size parts, complex welding. We collaborate with design engineers to optimize design requirements and to provide very quick and extremely dependable service. Crown West fabricators know it is important to deliver high quality parts and service.
Fabricator
Purpose: This is a hands-on operating position in the fabrication department. The individual will be responsible for completing tasks assigned in a safe and efficient manner, while achieving the highest quality possible. The main duties and responsibilities are listed below. TIG and MIG welding experience required.
Duties/Responsibilities: This position is responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Support the company vision, mission statements and promote company culture and values
- Ability to work alone with little supervision to complete assigned task
- Ability to weld various metals using a variety of methods: MIG, TIG and stick, both steel and aluminum.
- Be able to read and understand drawings, offer constructive advice to either simplify the part and/or make it more cost effective.
- Be able to build parts/assemblies from simple sketches and verbal instruction
- Must follow all company procedures and protocols
- Must follow instructions from department Manager and Lead Hand
- Fabrication skills are an asset
