Summary
Total Power Limited is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead a large AR team responsible for both construction/project collections and service collections and dispute resolutions. This role requires deep expertise in construction credit and collections, including bonds, liens, holdbacks, and progress/milestone billing. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of reducing delinquencies, lowering DSO, and improving cash flow, while building a high-performing team and delivering strong reporting insights using advanced Excel and Power BI. This candidate will also have a proven track record of building both internal and external relationships.

What You’ll Do – The Role (Responsibilities)
- Lead, coach, and manage a large AR team of construction project collectors and service collectors.
- Drive AR performance improvements, focusing on cash flow, delinquency reduction, and DSO improvement.
- Assist the Senior AR Manager in overseeing the construction AR processes including progress billing follow-up, holdbacks, lien rights, and bond claims.
- Manage escalations, dispute resolution, and high-risk account recovery.
- Manage a portfolio of Strategic Accounts (Currently consists of approximately 35 customer accounts).
- Develop AR performance reporting and dashboards using advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions, and data modeling) and Power BI.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Project Management, and Finance to reduce billing issues and improve collection outcomes.
- Ensure strong internal controls, accurate AR reporting, and process discipline.
What You Need (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field).
- 7+ years AR/collections experience with significant exposure to construction/project collections.
- Proven success managing a large AR team with measurable improvements in cash flow performance.
- Strong expertise in construction credit, including bonds, liens, holdbacks, and contract payments, coupled with experience in service collections and identifying, reducing, and resolving disputes through root-cause analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of Power BI.
- Bilingual (French/English) preferred.
