About the role
Imperial Dade Canada, leading national distributor, has a job open in St-Laurent. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for general ledger journal entries, month-end close procedures, and analyzing balances in accounts for appropriateness. This position performs account reconciliations and is required to have detailed knowledge of all general ledger accounts and their contents. This position is required to meet all scheduled monthly financial reporting and Income/NRW, tax deadlines, and provide accurate and timely analysis and research as needed. This position is also responsible to assist the Income Tax Manager to ensure Tax Group SOX compliance.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare schedules and workpapers to support the Canadian income tax returns.
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions under US GAAP.
- Coordinate month end financial reporting procedures including reconciling tax accounts, preparing internal control documentation, and required filing obligations.
- Assist with preparation of tax reporting packages for the U.S. parent company..
- Collaborate with U.S. tax team to align reporting and ensure cross-border tax requirements are met.
- Prepare Pillar Two effective tax rate computations.
- Involved in the integration of potential merger and acquisition activities.
- Assist with Company’s Canadian transfer pricing policies including the calculation, accounting and analysis surrounding management fees, royalties and intercompany loan agreements.
- Assist with the Canadian tax compliance for cross-border transactions.
- Provide support during CRA audits, information requests, and tax authority correspondence.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax exposures.
- Calculate, process and reconcile estimated tax payments and tax account general ledger activity.
- Assist in special projects, as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3–4 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting and/or industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of Canadian tax legislation and compliance requirements.
- CPA designation (or in final stages).
- Experience with cross-border tax reporting concepts.
- Experience in Pillar II effective tax rate computation.
- Advanced Excel and Taxprep software skills.
- Experience in EIFEL calculation an asset.
- In-Depth Tax Course or Master of Taxation an asset.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and geographies.
Working/Other Conditions:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
