Job Description: UPS is seeking an Automotive Fleet Apprentice to support our team of skilled mechanics and technicians in maintaining and servicing our delivery vehicle fleet. This position offers a valuable pathway to a long-term career in fleet maintenance at UPS, including eligibility for promotion to a certified Fleet Automotive Technician upon successful completion of the program. Job Type: Full-Time - Permanent Work Location: 5960 FERGUSON RD RICHMOND, BC V7B 1M6 Canada Workdays: Monday to Friday Shift duration: 5:00 PM - 1:30AM Responsibilities Repairs all UPS vehicles. Ensures all vehicles are maintained regularly and in a timely manner. Performs preventative maintenance inspections Repairs vehicles in accordance with UPS policies and procedures Qualifications: Able to lift up to 70 lbs. Able/willing to work evening and/or night shifts. Able to work in a fast-paced work environment. Possession of essential trade tools and equipment. Possession of a clean driver’s abstract/record (must not be obtained more than a month ago before your interview date) showing: No violations for the current year (last 12 months) and no more than 2 violations for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months) No accidents and maximum 5 demerit points for the previous 3-year period (last 36 months) Strong organizational skills. Compensation Apprentices - with provided documentation below applies: Level 1 23.93 Level 2-27.28 Level 3 $29.10 Level 4 $32.28 Weekly pay (every Friday). Automatic pay progression as per the existing union Collective Agreement. Paid vacation: 2 weeks after 1 year of service 3 weeks after 5 years of service 4 weeks after 10 years of service 5 weeks after 20 years of service 6 weeks after 25 years of service Group Benefits (Dental and Extended Medical) after 1 year Pension Plan Boots and Tool allowance Immediate access to UPS Employee Discount Program upon hire.
